Synopsis of August: Osage County

Beverly and Violet (Meryl Streep) are an old couple. Now, one of them relies on drinking and the other on drugs to maintain their relationship. One morning, Beverly left the house and never came back. Violet could only call their three daughters, her cousin, and her cousin-in-law to the house. The second daughter Ivy arrived, and then the eldest daughter Barbara (Julia Roberts) and her husband Bill (Ewan McGregor) also came from afar with their 14-year-old daughter.
