Synopsis of Fragile

The young and beautiful American female nurse Amy Nicholas (Calista Flockhart) was ordered to come to an old Mercy Hospital on the Isle of Wight, England, to serve as a night shift nurse. Previously, the children at Mercy Hospital were ready to be transferred to St. James Hospital with better conditions, but a serious train accident caused St. James to be overcrowded, and Mercy's relocation plan was temporarily shelved. Amy arrived here and soon noticed the quiet and somewhat mysterious little girl Maggie (played by Yasmin Murphy). From Maggie's words and the strange behavior of the medical staff, Amy vaguely felt that this hospital concealed unknown secrets. And when night falls, terrible things happen... The film won the Best Cinematography and Best Editing awards at the 2006 Barcelona Film Festival; the 2006 Goya Award for Best Special Effects; and the 2006 Gerardmer Film Festival Audience Award, Special Jury Award, and Youth Jury Grand Prix.
