Synopsis of Boy

The story takes place in the cold winter of 1988. Because she could not bear her husband's alcoholism and violence, her mother ran away from home with her two young children. That year, Zhenyu (played by Lien Junshuo) was only a middle school student. After leaving her father, life suddenly became difficult. In order to support her two children, Zhenyu's mother had to work from dawn to dusk to support the family. Although Zhenyu is young, he has a mature heart. He sees his mother's hard work in his eyes. In order to relieve his mother's problems, Zhenyu becomes a newspaper deliveryman. At the delivery station, Zhenyu met a boy named Chang Gen. Under the leadership of Chang Gen, Zhenyu experienced various scenes in the "adult world" for the first time. One day, Zhenyu followed Changgen to the tavern where his mother worked. Seeing Changgen teasing his mother, Zhenyu did not reveal the relationship between himself and his mother.
