Synopsis of The Decameron

Won the Berlin Film Festival Jury Prize. The film is based on the famous collection of novels "The Decameron" written by Boccaccio during the Italian Renaissance. Pasolini selected 8 (some say 10) stories that took place in Naples and other southern Italy for filming (in the original work, Mainly stories from the Florence area), most of these stories aim to expose the hypocritical and ugly nature of the church, and clearly express the author's affirmative attitude towards the liberation of human nature.
