Synopsis of The life of Hanako Kiryuin
Masagoro (played by Tatsuya Nakadai) is a notorious gangster. He has a middle-aged girl named Hanako, and he is particularly fond of her. Masagoro's domineering style made him make many enemies outside. As Hanako grows up day by day, danger is approaching her all the time. In order to protect Hanako, Masagoro is willing to pay all costs. Matsue (played by Masako Natsume) is Masagoro Masako's adopted daughter and Hanako's sister. She was chosen by Masagoro because of her natural beauty. Originally, Matsue came to Masagoro's house with her younger brother, but his brother ran away, leaving Matsue behind. Megumi was holding on alone. Masagoro wanted to marry Hanako to a young man, but the young man fell in love with Matsue, which caused discord in Masagoro's family. Masagoro doted on his beloved wife and neglected his wife. His wife drank heavily every day and eventually became seriously ill and died. What Masagoro didn't expect was that Hanako actually defected to his enemies. Frustrated, he surrendered and was thrown into prison. He died of depression not long after.
