Synopsis of Up Close & Personal

Tully (Michelle Pfeiffer) is an ordinary waitress, but she has always had a dream of being an announcer. How she wanted her dream to come true, so she sent a videotape of her former cheerleading performance to the TV station. She thought the other party wouldn't be interested in her, but she was still willing to try. But things exceeded her imagination. Not only was she hired by the television station, but she was also mentored by senior reporter Warren (Robert Redford). The first time Tully presented the weather news, her performance was not satisfactory, but she was encouraged by Warren and learned from him very carefully. Finally, the two fell in love with each other during their long time together. Tully slowly got started with her job as a reporter. With Warren's help, her career developed smoothly.
