This town is actually his hometown, Mooseport, Maine. Former President Monroe, who originally planned to live in peace in his old age, coincided with the mayoral election in Mooseport and was elected as a candidate by his neighbors. , strongly encouraging him to become their new mayor. Perhaps it was the success-loving mentality created by his political career, perhaps he could not accept losing his position as the center of attention, or perhaps he really wanted to do something practical for the citizens of the neighborhood. Monroe agreed to his neighbors and invested in the mayor's election. Unexpectedly, Handy Harrison (played by Ray Romano), the owner of a local hardware store, did not buy his account and openly opposed his candidacy. How could former President Monroe, who had conquered the entire United States, endure capsizing in an unknown town? Therefore, he began to use various means learned in his political career to fight against those who opposed him. Unexpectedly, by doing so, he disrupted the lives of local people. His supposedly leisurely retirement life actually became the happiest moment in his life...
