The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans

Synopsis of The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans

After the hurricane, Orleans was paralyzed. In the local prison, all guards and prisoners have been evacuated, but one prisoner was forgotten here. Police officer Terrence McDonagh (Nicolas Cage) and his colleagues discovered him while inspecting the cell, and Terrence came to help. This heroic act made him promoted to lieutenant, but his spine was also seriously damaged and he could only rely on medicine to relieve the pain. The ever-increasing pain made various drugs lose their effectiveness. Terrence was tortured in the process. He had no choice but to turn to drugs. His physical and financial condition was close to the brink of collapse, and his temper became worse and worse. A heroic police officer gradually deteriorates. Soon, a massacre occurred in the city, and the drug lord Da Fet was a major suspect. Terrence was ordered to investigate the case. In the process, his long-lost conscience gradually recovered... The film won the Christopher D. Smithers Foundation Special Award at the 2009 Venice Film Festival.
