Synopsis of Levity
During a robbery of a convenience store, teenage Manuel kills a clerk who was not even his age with a gun. He was sent to a single cell in the prison and sentenced to 23 years in prison. In prison, he stared at the yellowed photos of the victims in the newspaper. He could not accept that he had committed such a big crime and ruined the lives of two young people. After spending his prison life in guilt and remorse, Manuel was unexpectedly released. Although he returned to society and gained his freedom, his psychology of atonement was still painfully torturing himself, and he hoped to have a better life. A chance to atone for the mistakes of his youth. While he was wandering aimlessly in the city, by chance, he met a woman named Adele Isley (played by Holly Hunter), who had a teenage child with her.
